About the Role
The Laboratory Engineer will be specialized in Drug Deposition and testing of Balloon Catheters.
You will play a critical role in the research, development and testing of our Company.
You will work in our Laboratory and Quality Team by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of Engineers. Your mission is to develop and test the performance of our drug coated balloon cathethers in order to meet our goals on the innovation of our products.
Main Accountabilities
- Quality Control and Prototyping
-Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure product consistency and safety standards
–Plan, execute and analyze laboratory experiments to assess the performance, durability and safety of drugs coated catheter
–Ensure that designs and processes meet all compliance requirements
–Design and execute experiments to optimize drug coating deposition technique using various method like pipetting, spray coating etc.
–Praticipate in vitro and in vivo studies to assess the performance, drug release kinetics, and biocompatibility of drug-coated balloons as required.
–Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and present findings to internal stakeholders.Develop and validate test methods and protocols for evaluating the mechanical properties, drug delivery profile, and durability of DCBs.
–Collaborate with external partners, such as academic researchers and contract laboratories, to leverage specialized expertise and resources.
–Contribute to the preparation of regulatory/other technical file preparation or its submissions, including preclinical study reports or other applications.
–Participate in risk management activities, including hazard analysis and design verification/validation testing.
-Maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures, results, and observations in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other regulatory requirements.
-Support technology transfer activities between R&D and manufacturing teams, ensuring seamless scale-up and process optimization.
- Data Analysis
-Perform and analyze experimental data
–Generate reports and provide insights for continuous improvement
-Maintain documentation on design changes and testing result, Maintain proper records and documentation of experiments
- Innovation
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and innovation in catheter manufacturing fields to meet project goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge in preparation and handling of chemical solutions
- Good experience with operating chromatography equipment such as HPLC
- Ability to develop methods, analyse data and report results using chromatography equipment
- Strong proficiency in Laboratory techniques, data analysis and statistical methods
- Basic understanding on regulatory requirements and quality management systems (ISO 13485, FDA Regulations)
