About the Role
The Planning & Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the company’s planning and procurement functions to ensure the timely availability of materials, optimized inventory levels, efficient production planning, and strong supplier performance. The role will work closely with Production, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to align demand forecasts, procurement strategies, and operational requirements while ensuring cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Main Accountabilities
Planning & Inventory Management
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align customer demand, production capacity, and inventory targets.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts and production plans to support business objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement actions to minimize shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence.
- Ensure the availability of raw materials, production supplies, and critical components to support manufacturing operations.
Procurement & Supplier Management - Manage sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and procurement activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and alternative sourcing strategies.
Performance Improvement & Compliance - Monitor key supply chain KPIs and use data-driven insights to improve performance and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning, procurement, and inventory management processes.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, procurement, supply chain, or operations management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in demand planning, inventory management, sourcing, and supplier management.
- Experience working with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
- Experience within the medical device or other regulated manufacturing industries would be an advantage.
