About the Role :
A Mechanic & Electric Engineer is required to work with the existing engineering team to deliver projects and technical design support for medical devices equipments and tools development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical and electrical systems for medical device equipment and tooling.
- Support new equipment development, modifications, and upgrades aligned with production and R&D requirements.
- Contribute to prototype build, testing, validation, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure designs are suitable for cleanroom and medical device manufacturing environments.
- Provide hands-on technical support on mechanical, electrical, and electronic components and systems.
- Participate in equipment debugging, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
- Support the Maintenance team on electrical and mechanical issues when required.
- Ensure equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical systems comply with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA, and internal QMS requirements.
- Support equipment qualification, validation, and change control activities.
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Actively support internal and external audits related to equipment and engineering controls.
- Prepare and maintain accurate 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks).
- Control engineering drawings, including approvals, revision control, and archiving of obsolete documents.
- Support the preparation of technical documentation such as Work Instructions, SOPs, and Process Flow Diagrams.
- Ensure documentation integrity within the eQMS.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance, safety, and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams.
- Contribute technical expertise to problem-solving and root cause analysis activities.
Qualifications :
- Minimum BAC +2 (BTS or DUT) in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Design Engineering, or equivalent.
- Additional certification or training in electrical/electronic systems will be an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within automation or regulated industries.
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or ISO-regulated manufacturing environments will be a strong advantage.
- Exposure to equipment validation and regulated engineering documentation.
Key Attributes :
- Mechanical and electrical system design and troubleshooting.
- Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and FDA regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to documentation, compliance, and quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive manufacturing environment.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset.
- Fluent in English and French, written and spoken.
- Proactive follow-up and ownership mindset.
